Stop Living Wounded's Story

The seed for SLW did not start as a ministry but as a declaration to Ken from God. One early morning, while dealing with multiple physical ailments and debilitating mental dysregulation and depression, he heard a clear voice to "stop living wounded." Ken screamed out, "I am not living wounded, I am wounded and you're not helping." While he didn't understand it at the time, he came to understand that this was God's way of saying, "Get up! Pick up your mat, and walk."

While Ken would love to say he was instantly healed like the invalid in John 5, he was not. It was, however, the beginning of his journey toward healing. This journey led to countless classes, seminars, and conferences on healing. It involved becoming a recovery participant to eventually being a recovery pastor. It involved hundreds of hours in counseling and spiritual formation. It now involves moving from learning to leading. It involved moving Stop Living Wounded from a message given to him, to one to now share with others.

The message is this, despite your pains and wounds, God is good and you have a purpose.

God's Four Promises

Recognize Problems - Reintroduce Presence - Release Pain - Reveal Purpose

Stop Living Wounded's Logo

The SLW logo has a universal and worldwide message. Whether in South Korea or South Dakota, the red octagon and white hand are global for stop. However, the red circle at the center of the hand represents Jesus' sacrifice for sin. It is not just a reminder for the believer of his crucifixion. It is a reminder that "by his wounds, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).

Stop Living Wounded - Stop Leading Wounded - Stop Loving Wounded

The ultimate objective is to see God's people becoming all that He intended.  That is, healthy Christians form healthy relationships.  Healthy relationships create life-giving churches, and healthy churches are still the life-blood of healthy communities.
